New Battery Bank for Thoosa 7000-HT

I am looking at replacing the battery bank for my 48 volt Thoosa 7000 system . . . currently I have 8-6volt deep cycle golf cart batteries rated at about 100 Ah . . . at a 25 Amp per hour usage . .  this only gives me about 3.5 knots per hour . . . so to discharge batteries to 50% I only have a range of about 8 miles.Obviously, I would like to extend this . . . Sail drive option for electric motor install

I am looking for affordable sail drive installation for my catamaran to connect to my electric motors. I am looking for these as an easier option to installing a traditional propeller shaft, struts, packing box, etc.  Anyone know of a good source to purchase to purchase two sail drives and use a verticle attachment for my electric motors? More questions on new battery bank for Thoosa 7000

So I'm am getting ready to head from here in Hawaii to the South Pacific on my Aries 32  . . . I have a Thoosa 7000 system currently powered by 8- 6 volt, 200 AmpHr Costco lead acid batteries . . . I want to replace these with AGM's (safer, no maintenance and I don't have to try and find distilled water in the South Pacific) . . .Being here in Hawaii . . . the cost for shipping batteries is very high . . .  I have found a good set of traditional style Amstron GC2, 6 volt AGM's . . . Longest motor to date

Went on my first cruise out this last week end26 km with no wind and a strong tide current dead on the nose for most of the tripmy math might be a little off but it works for me26km / 6.5hr  = 4.07kts avg220 ah @48vdc = 10.5kw310ah bank @ 48vdc = 14880 watts310ah battery bank  x.80 =  248ah for 80% dod220ah/248ah = 88% of available power usedI tried to stay at about 35 amps for the whole trip just to see what would happen and log some time and data if it was on a flood I am thinking 30km or…See More

100 Watt Renogy bendable solar panels

I just bought  a Renogy 100 watt bendable panel to add  to my 12 volt house solar array. At four pounds it is four times lighter and smaller than the 75 watt Siemens panels I bought over a decade ago. Not sure if they will hold up as well and I'd be leery to walk on it.
