I am going to pick up a Honda EU2000 this week to run the house and charger when on the hookFor those of you that use a portable gen what is you opinion as to where is the best place to mount and run it. Major test run

Took her out for her first serious test run on the 23rd January. Everything performed very well. Ran the electric motor for over an hour at 4 knots. The batteries still had plenty of charge left in them. My prediction of motoring for 3 hours at 4.5 to 5 knots is looking good. The outbound trip was against the tide and the yacht has not been anti fouled in 2 years. In the tropics the growth underneath is very fast. New Battery Bank for Thoosa 7000-HT

I am looking at replacing the battery bank for my 48 volt Thoosa 7000 system . . . currently I have 8-6volt deep cycle golf cart batteries rated at about 100 Ah . . . at a 25 Amp per hour usage . .  this only gives me about 3.5 knots per hour . . . so to discharge batteries to 50% I only have a range of about 8 miles.Obviously, I would like to extend this . . .
